For
xax, Microsoft SQL Server represents both the leading and
cost-efficient database and data warehouse platform for lean and
high-performing bi systems.
The
SQL Server stores, administers, transforms all relevant data and
converts such data into corresponding bi systems via xax.interface.
In addition, xax uses further bi tools integrated in SQL Server 2005
if required:
- SQL Server 2005 Integration Services - for quick data extract from
many different data sources
- SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services - xax relies on multi-dimensional
analysis cubes, particularly when large-volume multi-dimensional data
models in the range of tens of thousands of dimension elements are
employed.
- SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services - xax relies on reports
generated by Reporting Services, especially if large-scale user
groups access these reports.
